“The Brothers Karamazov” is Dostoevsky’s last novel, which he wrote for two years. The novel was printed in parts in the journal Russian Herald. Dostoevsky conceived the novel as the first part of his epic novel The Story of the Great Sinner. The work was finished in November 1880.
